Acoustical Location and Enhancement System (ALE)
The ALE System is an acoustic sensor designed to assist in the location of particular acoustic signatures. A highly directional dish antenna is mounted on a Scarab I outfitted with an extendable boom. The antenna is used to pinpoint the source of noise. Digital signal processing is then used to isolate and analyze the signal.
The ALE is designed to be attached to the standard R.O.V. Scarab I crawler.
The ALE and it’s host Scarab I are controlled though the use of the R.O.V. Standard VOCC and the R.O.V. Standard Tri-Console System.
